The Perfect Flight
Chad Rawson and Jack Beringer had become disillusioned with their occupation as aerospace engineers. They just knew that there had to be more to life than the boring, daily grind they had found themselves in working for an aircraft company. What they were seeking was something that would give them excitement and a financial reward. Flying jet airplanes certainly had its share of thrills and perhaps becoming professional pilots was the answer. But what they were hoping for was that one opportunity to break away and do something fulfilling. Of course, if they were to start a business, or make sizable investments, it would take money... a lot of money. Many times they had pondered, “So, how can we acquire a large sum of money quickly?” That was a question they often contemplated. That is, until one day, an idea presented itself and with it, the temptation to step over the line. It was a wild proposition, but they just knew with this idea, they could win big. This is their story and how that temptation got them to the place where they thought that this would be the perfect flight. (10,500 words)
